A bedroom at blue hour just before dawn: an adult asleep on their side wearing Dawn Band Pro, a second adult asleep beside them, Dusk Mask folded on the oak nightstand

Quiet things for the night

Keep the night simple.

A strip across the nose, a little tape, the mask pulled down. At dawn, a buzz on your wrist instead of a ringtone.

Four moments

When do you need it?

Four moments of the night, each asking for something a little different. Start with yours.

An adult winding down on the edge of the bed with Dusk Mask in hand, a Lift Strips pouch on the nightstand

Going to sleep

Going to sleep

Just before the lamp goes off. A strip across the bridge of the nose, a small strip of tape over closed lips, and the mask pulled down when you are ready.

For this moment

A couple in bed at night, one asleep, the other reading, a small dish of earplugs and a mask on the nightstand

Sharing a room

Sharing a room

Two people, two alarms, one reading lamp. A band that buzzes on your wrist instead of ringing, soft earplugs over your ears, and a mask for the light on the other side of the bed.

For this moment

An adult at dawn sitting up in bed with Dawn Band on the wrist, stretching in the gray light

Waking up

Waking up

Up before the rest of the house. Dawn Band or Dawn Band Pro buzzes on your wrist, gentle at first, then stronger, with no ringtone.

For this moment

An adult asleep in a plane seat by the window wearing Dusk Mask, a soft blanket over their knees

On a trip

On a trip

A train seat, a plane, a hotel room you do not know yet. The band rides in its hard case, earplugs and an aroma stick go in a pocket, and the mask comes down when the cabin lights stay on.

For this moment

Dawn Band Pro

An alarm on your wrist, not in the room.

A soft silicone band with a small display and a stronger motor. It wakes you with a buzz on your wrist, never with a ringtone.

  1. No ringtone

It vibrates on your wrist instead, so there is no ringtone to wake the person next to you.

  2. Soft first, then stronger

The vibration starts gentle and steps up through 3 intensity levels until you press the button.

  3. Up to 5 alarms, no app

You set the time and the alarms on the band itself. No app to install, no phone in the bedroom.

  4. A click to charge

The magnetic USB cable clicks onto the back. The soft strap is easy to forget once the lamp is off.

Why the name

One slow breath out.

Iki (息) is the Japanese word for breath. We think the night should be that simple: the lamp off, one slow breath out, a strip, a little tape, the mask. Then a quiet buzz in the first gray light, and the day begins.

All ten, side by side

Ember Panel

A small red glow.

A phone-size panel of red and near-infrared LEDs, with its own battery and a timer that switches it off.

  1. Red and near-infrared

Red LEDs at 660 nm and near-infrared LEDs at 850 nm, side by side on one phone-size panel. You only see the red ones glow.

  2. It switches itself off

Press the power button to start. The built-in timer turns the panel off at the end of each session.

  3. No cord, a soft cover

It charges over USB-C and runs on its own battery while you use it. A silicone cover wraps it for the bag.

Before the first night

Good to know

Three small habits that keep the night easy.

Care and safety
  1. Hands peeling the backing off a black Lift Strip over a bathroom counter, warm light

    Clean, dry skin first

Try your first Lift Strip on clean, dry skin. In the morning, peel it off slowly, ideally after washing your face with warm water.

  2. A hand holding a Night Tape strip by its edge above the open pouch on a nightstand

    When to skip the tape

Use Night Tape only if you breathe easily through your nose. Skip it with a cold, after alcohol or sleeping pills, and never use it on a child.

  3. Ember Panel lying face down on a desk beside its empty silicone cover, a soft red glow at its edges

    Follow the timer

Let Ember Panel switch itself off at the end of each session, and keep it pointed away from your eyes and anyone else's.

Will the band wake my partner?

Dawn Band and Dawn Band Pro have no ringtone: they vibrate on your wrist. If you share a bed, the person next to you may still feel a little movement when the band buzzes or when you reach for the button.

Dawn Band or Dawn Band Pro?

Both wake you by vibration, show the time and charge with a magnetic cable. Dawn Band is slim and holds up to 3 alarms, with a buzz that grows stronger until you press the button. Dawn Band Pro has a wider strap, a stronger motor, up to 5 alarms and a buzz that steps up through 3 intensity levels.

Do I need an app or a phone?

No. You set the time and the alarms on the band itself. Your phone can stay in another room.

How do I charge a band?

Click the magnetic cable onto the back of the band and plug the USB end into a USB power adapter or a computer. Charge it fully before the first night.

Can I shower with it?

No. Take the band off to shower, bathe or swim. If you wipe it clean with a damp cloth, let it dry before you charge it.

How do nasal strips work?

A springy band sits under the soft fabric of each Lift Strip. Pressed across the bridge of your nose, it tries to lie flat again, and that gently lifts the sides of your nose while the strip is on. Wash and dry your nose first, and peel the strip off slowly in the morning.

Is mouth tape for everyone?

No. Do not use mouth tape if you cannot breathe easily through your nose, and never use it on a child. Skip it with a cold or a blocked nose, after alcohol, sleeping pills or sedatives, or if you have a breathing, lung or heart condition. If you snore loudly, stop breathing during sleep or feel very tired during the day, talk to a doctor first: these can be signs of a condition that needs care.

What is in the Aroma Sticks?

Four Aroma Sticks, one scent each: Mint, Wintergreen, Citrus and Lavender, made with essential oils and menthol. They are for smelling only: hold the open end just under your nose, never inside it, and keep them away from children and pets.

What is near-infrared light?

Light just past red, which you cannot see. On Ember Panel, near-infrared LEDs at 850 nm sit beside red LEDs at 660 nm, so you only see the red ones glow. Since part of the light is invisible, assume the panel is on whenever the red LEDs glow, and do not point it at your eyes.

How do shipping and returns work?

Shipping is included in the price; there is no separate delivery charge. Import duties and customs fees are paid by us. If a carrier ever asks you for any, contact us and we will cover it in full. Orders ship within 1 to 3 business days with tracking and take 7 to 12 business days to arrive, so allow about 8 to 15 business days from order confirmation. We deliver to the 50 US states and Washington, D.C. Unused items can come back within 30 days of delivery; for hygiene reasons, strips, tapes, earplugs and aroma sticks only unopened, and the mask only unworn. You can cancel at no charge until your order ships. More on our shipping and returns pages.
